ORDER authorizing expenditures, as listed, as necessary to advertise and bring into favorable notice, opportunities, possibilities, and resources of Harrison County, Mississippi, including all forms of advertising, including but not limited to broadcast advertising, logo recognition on publicity collateral, other media, and all broadcast, printed material and signage along with the link displayed to Harrison County Online: <https://harrisoncountyms.gov>. All recipients are required to provide proof of advertising. These expenditures shall be payable from Account No. 002-100-522, as follows:
a) $1,000.00 awarded to The Place To Be Mardi Gras Club in support of the 2nd Annual R&B in May Festival to be held May 17, 2025, in Gulfport’s Historic Quarters District and open to the general public.
b) $1,500.00 awarded to the Gulfport Branch NAACP to support wellness programs, job preparedness, and educational scholarships in connection with the 2025 Community Health Job Fair Expungement Clinic Expo to be held on June 7, 2025, at the Gaston Point Community Center, Gulfport, Mississippi.
c) $600.00 awarded to Knights of Peter Claver, Inc.in support of the 10th Annual Mississippi Sickle Cell Foundation Golf Tournament to be held on May 31, 2025, at the Bridges Golf Course in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi.
d) $1,000.00 awarded to the City of Biloxi in support of the Juneteenth Weekend Celebration, to be held on June 14, 2025, at the Biloxi Town Green, Biloxi, Mississippi
