Patrick Chubb, Senior Environmental Specialist with Mississippi State University, presented a report on a restoration grant awarded by the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation for the Bayou Bernard project. The conditional award totals $50,000.00 and will be used to rehabilitate the upper section of Bayou Bernard. The project also includes educational workshops in collaboration with Harrison County Schools. After full discussion, the Board adopted an ORDER approving a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) authorizing Mississippi State University and Mr. Chubb’s team to commence work on county property.
