ORDER authorizing expenditures, as listed, pursuant to Miss. Code 17-3-1 et seq as necessary to advertise and bring into favorable notice, opportunities, possibilities, and resources of Harrison County, Mississippi, and which in the judgment of such board or boards will be helpful toward advancing the moral, and/or financial and/or other interests of the county including all forms of advertising, including but not limited to broadcast advertising, logo recognition on publicity collateral, other media, and all broadcast, printed material and signage along with the link displayed to Harrison County Online: <<<https://harrisoncountyms.gov>>>. All recipients are required to provide proof of advertising prior to receipt of funds.
a) $800.00 to Mississippi Lady Cardinals, for Run of Roses, Qualifiers and National Championship tournament, Louisville, KY, July 1 - 24, 2026, advertising on social media, and t-shirts.
b) $6,500.00 to The People's Station Corp. for 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration, June 20, 2026, Daniel "Kent" Jones Community Sports Zone, advertising on social media and radio.
c) $500.00 to New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, LTD, for "The Gathering 2026", at Jones Park, June 20, 2026, advertising on social media, banners, flyers, local news.
d) $1,000.00 to Movers & Shakers Social Club, for 3 on 3 Basketball and Festival, June 19-20, 2026, at the Biloxi Town Green, advertising on social media, logo on banners, and sponsor boards.
e) $3,000.00 to Mental Health Assn of South MS. for Don't Worry, Be Happy event, July 10, 2026 at the Biloxi Town Green, advertising on social media, website, event book and videos.
f) In-kind use of county equipment (barricades), by the Mississippi Aquarium, for July 4th event.
