ORDER authorizing expenditures, as listed, pursuant to Miss. Code 17-3-1 et seq as necessary to advertise and bring into favorable notice, opportunities, possibilities, and resources of Harrison County, Mississippi, and which in the judgment of such board or boards will be helpful toward advancing the moral, and/or financial and/or other interests of the county including all forms of advertising, including but not limited to broadcast advertising, logo recognition on publicity collateral, other media, and all broadcast, printed material and signage along with the link displayed to Harrison County Online: <<<https://harrisoncountyms.gov>>>. All recipients are required to provide proof of advertising prior to receipt of funds.
a) $1,000.00 to Roots of Hope Initiative, for Stop the Violence Block Party & Community Back 2 School Drive, at the Daniel Kent Jones Sportsplex, July 18, 2026, adverting on social media, and flyers.
b) $5,000.00 to Marty Wilson Foundation One Gulf One Goal for the Croaker Classic Fishing Tournament, July 24-26, 2026, advertising on social media, banners, t-shirts, Coast Observer, radio and tv.
c) $1,250.00 to Gulfport Arts Center for the Gulfport Arts Festival, for the 2nd Annual Gulfport Arts Festival, Downtown Gulfport 13th Street & 24th Avenue, Gulfport, September 19, 2026, advertising on social media.
